Finding Your Inspiration
For generations inspiration has been the driving force for creation. Writers finding their inspiration can instantly open the doorway to better understanding and answers we are all seeking.
The writing life is not just laying down your thoughts on paper for all the world to see and sharing information. For writing is about communication, about an idea, about a thought, about a thing, about the human condition, reconnecting the past, communicating the present, and expressing the future. We are talking about words that have the power to inspire us as human beings. The writing process is full of wonder and discovery.
If you’re an avid reader and writer, than you’re a constant thinker who must seek out the known and unknown and investigate whatever the subject might be and share this information with all your fellow human beings in a way that they can understand it and enjoy reading it. Combine this with the need to have a voice and the desire to invoke a feeling, mood, an emotion to your readers and listeners. This can translate into artists who work with pigment and paint, musicians who work with musical instruments. A writer writes. An artist paints. A singer sings.
These communicators among us are great at finding an infinite amount of inspiration everyday. Inspiration can happen anytime, late at night, in the daytime, while you are on vacation, while you are working, when you are alone or with friends, when you are silently thinking and meditating, even while you are watching TV or reading a book or magazine. Taking walks amongst nature, looking at a sunset, looking at the ocean, mountains, trees, and the sky, all of that surrounds us can be a wealth of inspiration.
Finding your inspiration in life is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. When your are consumed by inspiration, you get a burst of creativity that can translate into artistic, musical, and literary endeavor. Inspiration for some can seem to be divine or mystical in nature. Many people find inspiration in faith and God. Others can inspire you, by those who are living and those who have departed this earth. This could be your grandparents or your parents or great thinkers and writers of our time like Mahatma Gandhi, Aristotle, Jesus, Lao Tzu, Mohammed, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, Tony Robbins, and Deepak Chopra.
Great figures from history dating back over thousands of years can inspire us. Great men and
