Sugary, sticky, melty, oozy … sound good yet?  No, I’m not talking about what’s under a toddler’s fingernails, I’m describing some of the most tempting desserts of all-time.  If you want to imagine all the ooey gooey goodness, take a look at the top ten most indulgent desserts, counting back from 10 to 1.

10. Classic Ice Cream Sundae

The classic ice cream sundae secures its spot as the number 10 most indulgent dessert.  Of course, there are a few essentials.  It needs to be made of smooth, sweet, delectable ice cream, topped with real whipped cream (not cool whip).  Of course, it needs to be drowning in chocolate fudge, and maybe caramel for good measure.  A maraschino cherry is necessary to crown it, and additional toppings can be added to make it an even more indulgent dessert.

9. Turtle Brownies

Regular gooey fudge brownies are good on their own, but to make the classic after-dinner treat even more indulgent look for recipes that add in caramel and pecans.  For an extra treat, add a scoop of ice cream on top.

8. Cinnamon Roll

The cinnamon roll that earns its place as the number eight most indulgent food is not the kind that has been sitting hard and cold on the top of a coffee shop’s shelf for over a day.  No, the kind of cinnamon roll that makes it to number 8 on the countdown is the fresh-baked soft cinnamon roll swimming in sticky caramel and crusted on top with real icing.

If layers of fudgy chocolate cake aren’t enough for you, add the incredibly rich coconut frosting and you’ve got a dessert that’s simply divine!

This rich and decadent dessert comes in a variety of flavors from fruity notes to deep condensed chocolates.  A tiny square is enough to satisfy anyone’s dessert cravings.

5. Fried Ice Cream

Fried ice cream is an amazing dessert.  Basically think of your favorite ice cream encased in a warm, just-fried doughnut, topped with melting whipped cream and a cherry.  The combination of warm dough and cold ice cream are simply delectable.

4.  Tiramisu

The soft yet rich layers are what land this dessert in the number 4 spot.  Perfect if you want to indulge after a fancy meal.

3. French Silk Pie

Layers of chocolate and cream make the French silk pie the number 3 most indulgent dessert.  If you can finish your piece without passing out, you’ll be able to see why.

2. Chocolate Cheesecake

As though the creamy texture of regular cheesecake weren’t indulgent enough, creating a chocolate cheesecake (complete with chocolate shavings on top and a chocolate cookie crust) is almost sinful.

1. Lava Cake

Cue the drum roll!  The number one most indulgent dessert is … lava cake!  This gooey, rich chocolate cake has a thick chocolate fudge bursting out from inside it.  Served warm, this indulgent dessert is simply heaven when coupled with ice cream.
