Created on: July 15, 2010

Balancing a very hectic work schedule can be draining to even the most energetic person. Day to day commitments, work obligations and activities, after work meal planning, appointments and so forth, often leaves one with very little time to exercise. Often times our work priorities are our primary focus. Consequently our health and well being are sacrificed, we fail to realize that these should be at the top of the list in regards to priorities. Without good health and well being, one’s ability to perform well at work, at home or elsewhere wanes. We often tell ourselves that we will start an exercise program tomorrow or next week. But our good intentions often come up against a brick wall, it seems impossible to find the time for a routine physical fitness program. But as far as health is concerned one should never put of tomorrow, what they can do today. The following tips will show you how to incorporate physical fitness into your busy day. But do get the nod from your doctor prior to increasing your physical activity. These tips will add a little extra activity into your day to tighten muscles, burn calories and increase your fitness. Please read on.

Make time:

Don’t put in off any longer. Instead of heading to the office canteen brown bag it and head outside for a quick workout. Plan your day well and you will find the extra half hour to exercise. If this is not possible set your alarm for 6.30 am instead of seven, do some squats beside the bed, a couple of sit ups, jog on the spot. Walk around the block and let your dog get some exercise as well. Or make this a family affair and get everyone involved in a healthier lifestyle.

Get others involved:

Exercise is something one must commit to for top results. By getting others involved, one gets all the encouragement they need to make this a more enjoyable venture. Not only will you get fitter but you will be bonding more with friends, family or work peers. Ask around at the office if anyone wishes to walk or jog with you during the lunch period. This may be just what the new girl or guy may need to make them feel a part of the workplace.

Make it fun:

Exercise can be quite mundane unless you make it fun. Grab a basketball and shoots some gaols at the local park, get others involved and your fun will increase. The more exciting you make it the more likely you will be to stick to it. Organize a hiking team, swimming, soccer, football. Grab some friends and join a dance club, sign up for water polo
