First of all, light workouts are not the way to go and the exercises that you perform should be very intense to get the most out of your muscle building quest. You should continue to do repetitions of your weight lifting exercises until you feel that you simply cannot complete anymore. There is no real advantages to be had or any point in stopping at for example, eight repetitions if you know that you are more than capable of completing twelve of them, so therefore carry on until you cannot do any more. It is all very good and well having such an intense workout but you will need to change this every now and again. This will keep your body constantly challenged and the only way in which you can do this is to keep it on its toes by making your routine different every now and again. Every eight or ten weeks you should aim to have a break from your weight lifting and exercise regimes and this is to ensure that your body has time to rejuvenate itself and give your muscles a chance to calm down before you shock them again with your intense training schedule.
When you get back into the gym your workouts should be shout and ideally that lasts less than one hour. If you can manage to work out for this long then the chances are you are not performing your lifts to the desired level and you should try and push yourself harder either with heavier weights or longer amounts of repetitions.
Never have set days that you go to the gym and go as infrequently as you can and this again, will shocvk your muscles and this will not give them time to adapt to your training schedule. One of the best muscle building tips that anyone can give you is to be as irregular as you can with your workouts and the time spent between workouts will give your muscles a chance to repair.
You must constantly challenge the boundaries of your body and by swapping and changing the amount of repetitions and days that you go the gym to workout, you can make the best of all of the best muscle building tips out there and hopefully have great success.
