Finally after having this DVD in my ‘to watch’ pile for about 2 months now I finally got around to watching it. I have to say that it was not as good as I was expecting, but both hubby and I still enjoyed it.

The film is set in Texas with Llewellyn Moss, a retired welder being out in the desert when he stumbles across a trail of blood on the ground which he finds is from a dog. He soon notices that the dog has come from a scene which one would not expect to find out in the desert. He find several cars, trucks and bodies scattered around in a kind of circle and soon finds that one of the trucks is full of drugs. One of the men is still partially alive but he is of no help to Llewellyn. He see another trail of blood and follows it only to find another dead man under a tree who has a case full of $2 million. He takes this money and goes back to his wife.

Later that night whilst in bed, he feels guilt for not helping the man who was still partially alive so he goes back to the scene with water for him. Whilst there he realises that another truck has turned up and now he finds he is wanted by the men as they believe he is part of the gang and realise that he must have the money.

Llewellyn tells his wife to leave and go to her mothers until he is able to join her, because he now has Anton Chigurh chasing him for the money and he is a ruthless man who will kill anyone who gets in his way.

Will Llewellyn be able to get away from Anton and will he and his wife live rich and happy ever after?

I thought that this film had a very good story even with it being very violent and there were people being killed and shot all over the place. Josh Brolin played the role of Llewellyn extremely well and I liked his character and I do sympathise with him as I too would have taken the money. I do also feel sorry for him as he only became implicated by the gang because he went back to help the partially alive man. He character was extremely believable and I liked the way he was always able to invent things and get hold of the items he needed without having to go to too much bother. His background as a welder helped him. I think he was also so good at hiding and looking for his follower from his time served in Vietnam, which was mentioned and also explained to me why he was so knowledgeable on such matters.

Javier Bardem played the role of Anton Chigurh and he was very good at being the bad guy. I have to say that he had the most awful haircut and I thought it looked so
