Pandigital Novel
Pandigital Novel is more than an e-book reader, it is a mini computer that you can hold in your hand. You know what they say” Big things come in small packages”. They have it right this time. I purchased mine the day it was released and I'm glad I did! The price wasn't bad either, especially considering it's more than an e-reader.
For those like me, who are visually impaired it makes reading easier. With the Pandigital Novel's ( referred to as Novel for rest of article) 7 in. full color touch screen I can now carry hundreds of books at one time in my handbag. It's expandable up to 32GB on SD/MMC card for up tp 6 hours of reading on a single charge.
It is a must for those who travel or like in my case, who home-school. Novel's Android interface and WiFi connectivity makes browsing the web simple and fast. I can tote school with me. I also liked the one touch apps that were included Facebook, e-mail and ordering new e-books through Barnes and Noble.
Loading my e-books with my SD card was aso easy. It took me seconds to load twenty-six e-books. The Novel is great for those who are not computer savy. You can also transfer files using an internet connection.
Reading is so enjoyable. The touch screen allows you to turn pages quickly. The Novel has the backlighting other ereaders don't have. The novel has two choices of lighting day or night. You can read at night without disturbing anyone.
Okay enough about reading, the Novel can do so much more. The Novel is a great mp3 player and the sound is awesome. You can also view videos with the Novel's built in video-player. View your pictures with the Novels full color photo viewer.
Last, but not least is the built in social calendar. Never miss an important date or meeting again. It even has alarms to remind you of upcoming events.
Pandigital has worked very hard to fix the issues they had in the begining and have done an excellent job. I can connect anywhere at anytime. I love my Novel and the price is much cheaper than ipad's big price. If you are counting pennies like I do than this is the product for you.
My only complaint is that I wish I had larger fonts to choose from. I'm visually impaired and the largest font is just large enough. This would not be a problem for the average reader.
