I have met people from every religion pretty much. From wiccans to atheists, to Buddhists to Mormons, to Christians to Catholics, to seven day advocates to god knows only the other religions I have been introduced to. It is quite amazing to see how each religion evolves and how each religion pretty much believes in the same thing. If you’re Wiccan you have books about Wicca, if you’re Christian you have the Bible, if you believe in Satanism you have a bible about Satanism and so on and so forth. Every religion is pretty much the same in one aspect: We all believe in one god if not more than that. So to me it is funny to see how people talk about how good their religion or god is compared to others. I usually presume that those who do such things are not happy with themselves or what they believe in and our trying to find ways to clarify the bad that they have done throughout their life.
So how do find the right religion? I think for somebody to answer this question correctly should ask who am I? You do not have to have a religion in order to find yourself in this world. Once you come up with an answer to that question move forward and start researching on religions. The problem with religious fanatics I think is they jump into a religion not knowing anything really about that religion. They do it for a lot of reasons such as family, friends, society and even where they stand in politics. You should mainly research a religion to make sure that it is the right fit for you. You have to put fear aside from being hated and learn that it is more about you than what anybody else thinks. What if we all followed what everybody else thought of us? It would be a very boring world my friends and that is why we have such a unique world. There is really nothing alike in any of us.
After we get through the first quests, now is the time to write on paper about which religions you enjoyed the most or felt like you had a connection with. Make a list from putting the highest religions first that you would like to follow to the ones that you are just interested in. Next thing to do is to research on groups and churches that might be available in your town to help your comfortable with the religion of your choice. Drive around and see if you cannot find hidden areas of churches that might be available, but are otherwise not televised. Go for a day and see if you like the priest that is preaching or can connect with the religion itself.
