My love for you was pure the kind of love that one
should be lucky enough to feel in their lifetime.
I cared for you each day
I listened to your heart
I was always there when you needed me
I cleaned up all your messes
I waited for you each night
I expected the same pure clean love in return

You just took, took, took
Your indifference broke my heart
Your filthy lies polluted
a once untainted love and with each passing day
you treated more like dirt, then callously walked away.

Cleverly
