Understanding that Arizona has more reason than most of the states to take drastic measures because they border Mexico, they are doing what really needs to be done to secure the basic rights intended for American Citizens.

Realizing there is a heated controversy between those who want to preserve the Constitutional rights given to American citizens, and those who are more concerned about human rights of all individuals, we are faced with quite a dilemma.  More importantly, in this period of time where terrorists threaten our nation, my vote is for those wanting to preserve the rights of the Constitutional freedoms as was intended for American citizens.

Because Arizona is trying to do something positive about an illegal situation that has been being ignored for years, and, because turning a blind eye to the influx of illegal immigrants into our country has placed a burden on our economy, it is my belief that Arizona is doing what needs to be done throughout the country.  And, to their credit, they don’t care what the rest of the country thinks.

It seems to me incomprehensible that with the world situation as it is that anyone would want to allow the invasion of people illegally entering our country.  And I understand why they are fleeing from their country.  But it is not just from south of the border that they are coming.  There are illegal immigrants entering our country for reasons that are threatening to our well- being from other countries as well.

What is troubling to me is, if there are so many people in our country willing to allow this illegal activity, why don’t they organize and sponsor these people so they can come here legally?  It is, after all, the various groups of Americans who want to hire them at below minimum wage, pay them under the table, house them in crowded facilities not fit for human habitat that want to continue allowing these illegal immigrants, and these are the people who want to have them granted amnesty.

Although many people seem to be advocating letting those who are already here remain, what do they propose should be done to stop further illegal entry?  Even though there are illegal immigrants having babies in our country which makes the children citizens, that does not make the illegal status of the parents any less illegal.  It is not right for them to force America to keep them here and forgive their illegal entry just because they had their children here.  That is entirely their problem.  They must take them back with them until they can enter legally, or put the children in foster care until they can return legally themselves.  Otherwise, we are looking at one financial disaster followed by another in trying to make everybody happy.

It is clearly a case of somebody having to bear the brunt of this illegal scenario.  It cannot be a win/win situation.  Our government has allowed it to get this overwhelmingly out of hand, and now it should be up to the individual states to handle it as they deem best for their particular situation.  Some states have more problems with illegal immigrants than others, and should be allowed to handle it accordingly.  Otherwise, the burden on our financial priorities will never recover.  It also follows that we are dangerously close to losing our status of being a country “of the people, by the people and for the people”, along with giving up our own freedoms.

There is no doubt in my mind that Arizona is doing what needs to be done, and that the rest of the states should implement a similar law.
