Brothers in Arms – Hour of Heroes

Category: Games

Developer: Gameloft S.A.

Coming from the very experienced and honored guy at Gameloft there is reason to have high expectations for this game. In Hour of Heroes you control a soldier in a third person view. You are able to move freely around the map but with some restrictions, as you have to reach certain checkpoints to complete each mission. Each mission features a lot of action and a lot of shooting as you fight your way through enemy territory to complete the given mission.

The controls in the game are very easy to use. When in a game the left side of the screen is used as a joystick where you can move back and fourth and to both sides. When sliding your finger around on the right side of the screen you are able to look all the way around and this is also how you aim the sight at your enemies. A fire button and a grenade button are also placed on the right side of the screen for quick access. The controls are easy to use and it is easy to navigate around the map. Aiming is very fluid as well though it can be a bit slow if you have to turn move than 90 degrees.

Like other of Gameloft’s games Hour of Heroes comes with some very nice graphics. Everything runs very smoothly and looks good. The soldiers running and shooting all seem realistic. All the different weapons available in the game also look great in this game. When standing up against a wall or standing in front of something you are able to take cover and step out to shoot. When tapping on the grenade icon the view changes to a kind of bird view. To throw grenades you simply select your target using the accelerometer.

With the graphics being above average the game just need good gameplay to be a good pick up for your phone. The game stays fun for a lot of time because of the many different campaigns and mission. There is also a big difference in the type of missions a given which just add to the fun. The difficulty of the game is somewhat average but is hard enough for most people to find it fun. If you are interested in trying the game out before buying it a free trial version is also available.

If you like war and shooting games then Brothers in Arms – Hour of Heroes is definitely worth to try out. The graphics and gameplay should provide a lot of hours of fun for most people.
