Poetry: Good and evil

by Matt Cardwell

Created on: July 12, 2010

I hate me. The conflict within is so simple,

yet lasting in ideal this battle is eternal.

The sick joy I find in degrading others,

the phantasms I have in perverted pleasure,

pissing on my Mother I shudder at my monster,

why bother thoughts of bettering my sin?

I have no purpose other than to rid of me, myself,

and to salvage the little hope I find in my little box,

my heart of intention, paving the way to destruction,

my ruptured soul cannot bear what war goings on.

The gods created guilt built to stab my mind at the wrong sight,

and here I lie blinded in rage, and can't fight!

Good and Evil, within, and Evil is winning,

that I should just give up and in to the carnal sin grinning,

in complete darkness it harnesses my excuse to the profuse,

but I refuse to be used, I contemplate the end.

I embody the inner conflict, with resolution to die,

to throw down the sword, and to just run and hide.
