Are you asking for trouble when you send your food back?
I voted yes. I have known waiters who had to take the food back to the kitchen and have spit in the food and have thrown the food on the floor and stamped on it with their shoes then covered it up with gravy and brought the food back to the table. Waiters, waitress’s cooks are some of the most temperamental people in the world and easily offended by any rebuke of their services they give you. If you don’t leave them a big enough tip, if you go to that restaurant a lot they will remember you quite well and I guarantee you will not get top shelf service from them. They will do anything to contaminate your food and bring it to you.
A couple years ago while my wife and I were at Disney World we went to one of their fancy steak restaurants. Neither my wife nor I like raw meat, we ordered the Filet migon which was not cheap. Our waitress was happy to take the order, you could also tell she was under a lot of stress, because there a lot of people in her section, which meant a lot of big tips. Two people won't leave as much as say four people. She asked how we would like the steaks we both said medium well cooked through. She smiled and said she would take care of it. About forty-five minutes later our steaks came to the table and low and behold they were raw inside and burned on the outside. I tried to catch her eye but she would not look in our direction she was very busy taking orders from other people. I stood up and waved at her, that caught her attention, for a minute I thought she was going to jump out of her skin. The look on her face was really scary. I told her to take our steaks back because they were still raw. For a second I thought she was going to faint. Very nasty she said this is the way you eat a steak, I told her I didn’t care what her opinion was how to eat a steak burnt on the top and bottom and raw in between. Then she asked in a nasty tone to her voice. “What do want me to do?” I reminded her that we ordered our meat cooked through. She snatched the plates off the table and walked away in a huff, as if to say how dare you question my judgement about how you are supposed to eat a steak at this marvelous steak restaurant in Disney World. Another half hour went by and she returned with the Filets. They were cut in
