 Poland is located in the northern area of eastern Europe. After many years of Soviet domination they have burst out onto the tourist scene in a big way. Poland is known for it’s  friendly people, delicious food, religious sites and scenic countryside. When you are considering a vacation in Poland, you will want to check out the best Poland travel websites. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

Poland Travel or Polska is the website says is the Official Poland travel website. The top quarter of the website has a slideshow called Move Your Imagination. It shows scenes from Poland which it identifies for you, this is a nice touch, many travel websites do a slideshow but don’t identify what the photos re that you are seeing. That can be very frustration. 

Above the slide show there are tabs that you can click;  About, Trip Planner, Where to eat and sleep, What to see?, What to do?  And finally Contacts and Services.  

About has two spate areas where you can click on links for additional information. There are a series of links to the left which ahs such things as accommodations, food and events and festivals. In the center there are two lists that include information about the currency of Poland, geography, basic facts, history and traditions and then practical information about emergencies, communication, health, rules and regulations  and lifestyles.

Under rules and regulations there are nine written pages for you to read, Obviously there is a lot you need to know about what is and isn’t legal in Poland.  On the first page it talks about public transportation and the large fines that can be imposed if you don’t buy a ticket and travel with the proper documentation. Before visiting Poland, you would be wise to read this entire section.

Back on the homepage, Trip Planner will give you the scoop on getting to and around Poland. There are 12 civil airports in Poland and there are enough flights everyday to guarantee that you should be able to get to the destination of your choice.

What to see is divided into four sections, Cities, Regions, Nature and Historic Sites.  Beyond just telling you about the country, this site also allows you to books things and does recommend tour operators  if you would rather have someone do the planning for you. Overall this is a very comprehensive site.
