Poetry: Lovers

He watches as she stands in the moon’s glow,

A silhouette as if suspended above the now sodden sand.

Her figure stands firm as if suspended in the night’s mist,

Remnants of evening showers linger in the night’s breeze.

Peaceful her thoughts must be, gazing an endless stare along the seashore.

He wishes to be in her thoughts such passion and contentment.

As she turns approaching garnished in the night’s mist eyes meet

just one glance tells the story of two yearning hearts; a smile appears,

My sentiment of beauty in one radiant smile protruding warmth of love.

For only a moment, she left his side like an eternity on a deserted island

Awaiting her return extending her hand to him he accepts. smiling

She whispers softly “I missed you”
