When winter comes, so will the snow
Delays will be rife; trains will be slow
When winter comes, the sky will turn dark
Kids go home early, silence the park
When winter comes, so will the rain
refreshing my skin, assuaging the pain
That sunmer left, with its firey heat
Pavements like hot plates, burning my feet
When winter comes, I will not mourn
But enjoy the cold, icey sojourn
When winter comes, I won't miss the sun
Snowflakes and snowballs are much more fun

Poetry: When winter comes
by Mia Marks
WHITE WINTER
Quietly I will come to you,
In the silence of the night.
You'll wake to find no skies of blue,
The landscape
The leaves have fallen,
Covering the ground below,
Everyone has been raking,
Bagging them up.
The moist cool air has changed,
by Melissa Mays
Hoping for a subtle settling
Just as the last beautifully stained leaf falls, a peaceful transition
to dust the barrenness
White Thrills
Of summer months many often speak well;
it is winter through which they prefer
not long to dwell.
Blustery,
Winter's Slumber
My painted autumn came to an end as
the breath of God turned morning dew to a lacey rime
Gale force winds
