Best places to eat in Atlanta, GA

Every corner of Atlanta is filled with amazing restaurants.  There are so many in fact that it is difficult to know where to begin.  It would be impossible to name an absolute favorite, but I will provide a list of my top eight choices.

1.  Fire of Brazil - 118 Perimeter Center West - This is a typical Brazilian style restaurant with a fun atmosphere and amazing food.  The fresh salad bar has a wide variety of vegetables, salads, fresh mozzarella, shrimp, and other tasty treats.  You will also find a soup and some hot side items on the bar as well.  For the main course, there are various cuts of meat hot off the fire that are carried on large skewers and carved for you at your table.  At lunch, there are about 8 or 9 cuts and for dinner I believe there are 13 or 14.  Your waitress will also serve hot side items of cheesy bread, fried bananas, yucca fries, beans, rice, and salsa.  I've always been very pleased with the food quality as well as the service.  The restaurant is always clean and I love sitting next the the enormous fire in the center of the room.  This is the perfect restaurant for a date or business luncheon.  For lunch, it is very affordable at about $18 per person for the entree.  Of course, they also serve alcohol and desserts for a fee.  I've found that unless it is a holiday, I don't have much trouble getting in without a reservation early in the evening or at lunch.  However, if you plan to dine after about 5:30, it is best to call ahead for a reservation.

2.  Fogo de Chao - 3101 Piedmont Rd NE - This restaurant is also Brazilian and very similar to the Fire of Brazil, but it is a bit more formal.  If you want to impress a date or anyone else for that matter, take them to the Fogo de Chao.  The last time we ate at this restaurant, it was around $100 per couple at dinner, not including drinks or dessert.  The service was world-class and the food was spectacular.  You will want to dress a little nicer for this restaurant experience or you might feel out of place.  Business Casual is fine, but I would not recommend shorts, athletic shoes, t-shirts, or tank tops.  This is a very classy restaurant where the staff will treat you like royalty.  They have a very impressive salad bar where you could easily fill up on all the amazing dishes offered before even beginning the main course.  The staff will serve you fried bananas,
