As an expecting parent, registering for your upcoming baby can be a very confusing time. There are so many things out there and it is hard to know what you will actually use and what you don't really need.
Here are somethings that I think are really helpful:
1st-Baby Gowns (a real must have) They make diaper changing in the middle of the night so easy. Instead of having to take their pants off or unzip something, all you have to do is pull it up a little bit and change the diaper. Very little effort.
2nd-T.V. Baby Monitor. These are pricey but at least if you can see your baby then you won't get up to every wimper. Sometimes babies cry in their sleep and when you go into the room it just makes them wake up.
3rd-Changing Table. For the first year, you are going to want to have a specific place to change your baby. A place where all the good diaper changing stuff can be kept. You may also want baskets that you can store under the changing table to keep all your diaper changing stuff in.
4th-Boppy pillow. If you are breastfeeding this a good thing to have. Yes, you could just use a pillow but a boppy stays in place so you don't have to keep adjusting the darn thing. And you can use it for so many different things, like helping your baby sit up, tummy time, and the list goes on.
5th-Rocking Chair. This was a real lifesaver for me. Neither of my kids are really good sleepers so I would find myself rocking them to sleep alot. Couldn't live without it.
Here are some things that I think you don't need to register for:
Wipe Warmer-Just hold the wipes in your hand for a second and they will be warmer.
Bottle Warmer-put it in the microwave without the nipple for 10 seconds or so.
Bottle Sterilizer-Come on, what are dishwashers for.
