General info:

Peggle started out as a very popular pc game and has now found its way to the iPhone. In Peggle each level is made out of a number of small blue and orange round objects called pegs. You start with ten balls and the objective is to remove all the orange pegs. Every time you hit a peg it is removed giving room for you to hit pegs hiding in lower levels. In each level two green pegs are randomly placed between the blue and orange ones. By hitting a green peg you active a special power that can be used to help you in your quest to clear all the orange pegs. You start by completing an adventure mode where you are presented with all the different special powers. As you advance in the adventure mode you unlock levels that you can then play in the challenge mode. After completing the adventure mode a lot of challenges are available for you to become a real master at Peggle.

Controls:

Controlling the device that shoots out the balls is done by simply taping or dragging your finger to the desired position. If you need to fine tune the accuracy of your shot a scroll wheel is available on the right side of the screen. The controls are very accurate and the scroll wheel provides as much control of the accuracy as you can ask for.

Graphics:

The graphics in this game are very impressive. Everything looks very sharp and all the impacts between balls and pegs are nice made. Sometimes when performing a special power the screen can freeze a bit but it is mainly when using the Zen ability where it has to calculate the perfect path for the ball.

Gameplay:

Peggle is the kind of game that gets you so addicted that you just have to come back for more. With Peggle you get hours and hours worth of fun as the challenges gets harder and harder to complete and you will have to use all of your skills and hope for some luck to succeed. The many different choices of special abilities also give you a big variety in ways to try and become Peggle master.

Conclusion and rating:

In my opinion Peggle is one of the best and most fun games for the iPhone because of the big numbers of levels and difficulties available. Peggle is a must buy if you are looking for a game for your iPhone of iPod Touch.
