Add and subtract, minus and plus.
How many layers make up each of us?
I make an acquaintance and become someone new.
To hide my true self, I pile on a few
Layers and layers of emotional walls.
Liars and cheaters, I've been hurt by them all.
And then I meet you, an exception to the rule

The fire between us because I want you now.
I'm breaking down walls and I'll make a vow
To allow you to know me, both outside and in.
Subtracting and adding, my heart starts to mend.
I lose the last layer, I'm finally free.
But I have one request. Don't disappoint me.
