The dangers of leaving your child alone in the car

Tuesday night in Newington, CT there was a perfect example showing a danger of leaving your child in the car, even in your own driveway.
Two six year old girls were in the minivan in the driveway (yes the driveway) of a home with the care running. Low and behold a man jumped in the car and took off with these two girls still sitting in it. Talk about a scary situation for the kids, and I can't imagine how the mother felt seeing that care drive away knowing the girls were sitting in it.
The car was driven to Hartford, CT only a few miles away and the man jumped out of the car and the girls were unharmed (thank God). They left the car once they felt safe and went to a local business and the police were called. The girls were soon reunited with their families and all is well.
The is a reminder to all parents the danger of leaving any child alone in a car for any amount of time
