The woes of dieting
It a yo-yo world
Just trying to find the skinny me
In this heavy set girl
I eat and I eat
And consume all the food I see
Trying to find which diet
Will result in a lighter me
Will it be pills?
Will it be drops?
Will it be aerobics
That makes my body flop?
Can I do it,
Eat less and exercise?
I seem to get nowhere
With my thousands of tries
I’m so tired of being heavy
In this skinny girl world
Where is the lighter me?
I want to set her free and let her twirl.

Poetry: Heavy and light
From behind heavy velvet drape,
Fear will soon grip her-
Heavy footsteps lightly tread
(Closer still) coming from above.
You don't know what you got till it's gone,
yeah, that's what you've always heard 'em say.
But you never knew you could find

Old Fires
Your words weigh heavy on my soul,
Don’t care much for goodbyes.
There was no pretense on your tongue,
No lies
Heavy and light.
With heavy heart, I stand there at the looking glass,
Remembering a time when I was light,
And gravity was
Lighten up on the homework
I can’t take this heavy load,
My book bag is bursting
And I’m not in studying mode.
