Judgment Day-According to The Word of God
Do you believe we will be held accountable to God for our lifestyle on earth? We will be held accountable for our life choices whether we believe it or not. The Bible is the place where the answer to this question is found. It took sixteen centuries and more than forty human authors, under the unction of The Holy Spirit to write The Word of God which is composed of sixty-six books, which have been canonized. This book delivers the messages God desired for his creation to have and embrace as His infallible Word. How will God judge us? The birth of Jesus was foretold and Jesus Christ was born. The end of time is foretold and the end of time will come to pass. Throughout the entire Word of God, especially the King James Version, you will find these words, "And it came to pass." The end of the world will come to pass. The Book of Revelations says that Jesus Christ will judge us when that time comes to pass.
The Bible says the following: (John 5:22)
"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
Romans 2:16 says the following:
"God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ - "
II Timothy 4:1- makes it plain as to who will do the judging. It reads.
"I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom."
In Revelations, we are told judgment occurs when you have finished your time on earth; what you have done on earth (your works) is reviewed. There is more than one book mentioned but '"one book is called The Book of Life. Life experiences are recorded in the book(s) from which decisions will be made about you. Here is how it reads.
Rev. 20:12
"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
After this occurs, you have to back up to Revelations 20:6 to understand the significance of the order of the books and which book you need to have your name written in.
Revelation 20:6, this embraces the hope of every born again believer in Jesus Christ. It says the following:
"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years."
