Testimonies: Stupidest question a customer has asked me at work

I used to work in a restaurant, and though I have heard many questions that certainly do not flatter the intelligence of the patron, this one takes the cake.

Parking for our restaurant leaves the closest customer with at least forty feet of outdoor walking before they enter the front doors. It was a beautiful May day and our outdoor patio was open for seating. Two ladies walk through he courtyard, in the front doors, and up to the hostess.

Hostess: Two?

Ladies: Yes.

Hostess: Would you like to sit on the patio or in the dining room?

Ladies: Well, what is like on the patio?

Hostess: Excuse me?

Ladies: Is it hot?

The hostess handles the ladies with expertise, which is why I was a cook and not a host. I wanted to tell them that they had just come in from outside, and I was inside, how in the $@#% do I know more about the temperature than you?
