Up and down is life of mine
Sometimes it is far from smooth
From days simple to abstruse
It turns from sweetness into brine
Life vicissitudes and turns
Are the ones that make me strong
No matter how smart pain burns
With God’s help I come along
Quite a deep might be a plunge
And boisterous a slump
I do my best and take a lunge
No matter how hard a crump
