Today Or So It Seems
As I sit here today I remember yesterday
How long ago it seems. It flew by so fast
As if it was a dream
Just yesterday I was wishing for today
I knew I would see you and you would hold me
In that special way
Today I awoke to the sounds of birds
The singing was soothing and sweet
Today is the first day of the rest of my life
Oh, what will tomorrow bring?
Just another day to soak up the rays of
Sunshine and laughter. Or today all over
Again just like the here after.
Hold me today and tell me what last night
Meant. Was it real or just a dream?
Was it the taste of passion that brought us here?
Was it the fire of love and lust at the same time?

Lives away not knowing
What will today bring, for it is just yesterday and tomorrow not
Yet here.
Was it real, were you here, was it a dream?
Today, I think it was, or so it seems.

instead of dragging my feet
I've
