Most Nintendo Gamecube games can be obtained for a small price due to the lack of interest by serious collectors in the system. There are a few games however that are still in hot demand.
NCAA 2K3 Basketball
Sports games usually drop in value quickly after they are released. They are worth very little after they have been out for a couple of years. NCAA 2K3 Basketball is a rare exception. It was the only college basketball game created for the Gamecube by Sega Sports. It was released in very small numbers and is very difficult to obtain.
Cubivore
A strange game that did not sell very well upon it’s release. Critics panned it because of the inferior graphics and short gameplay, but it now has a cult following.
Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix
Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix is a game styled after Dance Dance Revolution and came bundled with a dance mat. The game had a limited production run and is hard to find.
Legend Of Zelda: Collector’s Edition
The collector’s edition was a free game given to consumers who purchased a Gamecube. You could also receive one by subscribing to Nintendo Power magazine. The disc contained The Legend Of Zelda, Zelda II, Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, and Zelda: Majora’s Mask. The game was only available for a limited time and is highly sought after by Zelda fans.
Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes
Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes was given rave reviews by critics when it was released. Demand has outpaced availability and it still sells for a high price.
Ikaruga
Ikaruga is a space shooter developed by a company called Treasure. It was released in Japan on the Sega Dreamcast and worldwide on the Nintendo Gamecube. Both versions were released in small numbers and are hard to find.
Pikmin 2
This strategy game was released exclusively to Gamecube. Many critics consider it to be superior to the original and demand has outpaced the supply.
Resident Evil Code Veronica X
This version is almost identical to the Sega Dreamcast version with the exception of a few added cut scenes and some changes to the graphics. Like all Resident Evil games for the Gamecube, this one is hard to find.
Resident Evil Zero
This was the last Resident Evil game to use the original play style before it was changed over in Resident Evil 4. Although over 1 million copies were sold, the demand for it makes it a little difficult to obtain.
Pokemon Box
Pokemon Box is actually a storage media form to store the captured Pokemon from the Gameboy Pokemon games. They can then be allowed to mate and interact. Although reviews were not very good due to the limitations of the game, it is still a much sought after game due to the very limited release.
