I think that one very strong reason and maybe the ultimate reason God has not revealed himself completely to mankind is because in His ultimate, unlimited, perfect wisdom He knows that if we know exactly who He is then the perfect act of faith could not be committed.

In other words, if God decided to reveal who He was to everyone tomorrow then mankind would not be able to commit the ultimate, perfect act of belief and that is faith.  We couldn't because there would be no need.  We would already know.  In His unlimited, perfect wisdom He set it up that way.

God knows that by mankind not knowing, mankind has to commit the ultimate commitment of faith, through his free will to choose.  

There is no doubt in my mind that God exists.  I believe, through what I have learned over the years, He has to exist.  I don't know 100% for sure.  All I can go by is the little things he has revealed to me, make common sense judgments upon those and then, with my own free will, decide. 

So is there proof that God exists? I believe there is but there is only just enough to make us motivated to search.  And through searching we will find more proof.  Not 100% proof.  I believe He won't do that, but he will work in our hearts and continue to guide us in a way that lets us know we are on the right path.  How do I know?  I have experienced it.  That's all I can say.   The more we work to learn about Him the more He continues to work with us.  It is a two-way street electrified by prayer.  The only way a person can know this, I believe, is by going to Him.

Through prayer, man can ask God for help in everything. You might not get it, He works in His own way on His own time and it has to be within His will, but you can ask.  Most good things in this life are within His will.  I wanted to be 6 foot 5 and play in the NBA but God in His ultimate and perfect wisdom and for whatever reasons, didn't let that happen.  You can ask for God to reveal to you His true self, but from my understanding and from what you have read in this article, He will not do that.  He cannot because if He did then your ultimate, perfect act of faith could not be committed.  Make sense?  I think it does.  Man has to go to Him and let Him work within man.  That is how it is set up.  I can live with that because it makes sense.  It is perfect wisdom that only He can bring forth. 

He set it up in a perfect way.  All His ways are perfect and by not knowing the full truth of God while we exist here on earth is the perfect way in which to make mankind show our his true commitment through faith.
