Acne can be embarrassing and very difficult to get rid of. Most acne outbreaks heal slowly and when one begins to go away, another will crop up in its place. Hormones usually play a major role in the development of acne as well as the severity of the outbreak. People of all ages can get acne, but it is most common in teenagers.  Sometimes, adult women will experience temporary acne due to hormonal changes associated with pregnancy, their menstrual cycles and starting or stopping birth control pills.

There are acne home remedies that work for all skin types. One of the best remedies for acne is eating the right foods and drinking plenty of water. This is one way to effortlessly keep your skin looking its best. When you first see a pimple coming, clean the area thoroughly and apply a bandage to keep germs out.  Acne scars that are left behind can cause even more problems than the acne itself. If you have scars left by acne; open a vitamin E capsule and rub it gently on the acne scar for about one minute. Do this at least twice each day to get rid of acne scars; fast and easy.

Natural Acne Remedies:

1) Avoid touching the pimple

When you constantly touch the already inflamed pimple, the dirt and germs on your fingers will cause even more inflammation and the infection will be carried to other parts of your face. This can result in even more acne and your skin will end up looking worse.

2) Keep You Skin Clean and Sanitary

Dirty skin can never be beautiful. Keep your skin clean with the proper skin care products that will compliment your skin type. Wear oil-free cosmetics, oil in regular cosmetics and other heavy ingredients will clog your pores and this will lead to skin break-outs.

 3) Stinging Nettle Tea

There is proof that Stinging Nettle tea is a natural treatment for acne that can help to prevent breakouts. Drinking the tea during your breakout time, will help to clear your skin.

4) Lemon Juice as a Natural Acne Treatment

Clear your pimples and the dark scars with lemon juice. Use a cotton tip to put the lemon juice on your pimple[s]. The antiseptic properties of the lemon juice help to clear skin. Make sure you put the juice only on your pimples, unless you want your skin to become lighter. Use this treatment only at night.

5) Organic Apple cider vinegar

Get rid of your pimples with a mixture of equal parts organic apple cider vinegar and distilled water or water that you have boiled on the stove and allowed to completely cool. Put the solution on the pimple with a clean cotton pad two or three times a day. After a few days use a milder solution. Do not use the clear white vinegar on your skin, the slime in the bottom of the organic vinegar is a natural sediment - that is the true sign of raw, unfiltered vinegar. Use This Treatment Only At Night.

More Information About Natural Acne Treatments

* Aloe vera taken from an aloe vera leaf can be applied to your acne scar to condition the skin.

* Keep your hair away from your face. Hair care products can cause skin problems, especially for sensitive skin.

Acne typically appears on your face, neck, chest, back and shoulders, which are the areas of your skin with the largest number of functional oil glands. Some of the things that will trigger a breakout are: progesterone-dominant birth control pills, some medications, stress, iodine found in seafood and supplements and, of course, your hormones. Avoid birth-control pills and seafood if it is causing your skin to breakout.
