How to beat a cold sore

A cold sore is caused by the herpes simplex virus. The virus causes blisters to form on the lips and the inside the mouth. These blisters can turn into ulcers and can become very painful.

HERE ARE SOME REMEDIES YOU CAN USE TO HELP BEAT COLD SORES:

1.Keep the cold sore clean and dry.

2.You should replace your toothbrush after a cold sore develops, because it will prevent you from getting multiple sores. After the sore has healed completely, Be sure to throw away your toothbrush and replace it with a new one.

3. Remove your toothbrush from the bathroom because the moisture in the bathroom helps prolong the life of the cold sore on your toothbrush.

4.Use a small tube of toothpaste because the toothpaste can transmit the disease.

5. You can protect the cold sore by covering it with petroleum jelly or medicated lip balm. Also place the jelly or lip balm on the cold sore with a fresh cotton swab.

6.Use a water-based zinc solution because it will help speed healing time.

7. If the cold sore becomes to painful for you to bare our physician will have to prescribe a medication for you to apply to the sore to ease the pain unit it heals.
