Contrary to popular opinion, Memphis (TN) is not an affordable city by any stretch of the imagination; if you are not frugal when it comes to your money, then you may find yourself overspending your hard earned dollars and creating your own crap for the debt-ridden. Furthermore, saving money in Memphis requires you to be familiar with the city's nightlife and/or other local venues and attractions.
Here are the best ways to save money while living in Memphis (TN):
1.) Take the transit. The transit system in Memphis has come of age; for an affordable one-time price, you can go to any destination throughout the Memphis metro area and get there safer because all the drivers have been duly-trained to provide their passengers/customers with the safest mode of transport possible. Not to mention that the transit system in Memphis provide all passengers even the would-be passengers with cleanest mode of transport that your money can buy.
2.) Ride your bike. Yet an even better alternative to taking mass transit is to ride your bike. You won't have to worry whether you have enough money to get to work or any other place of interest if you hop on your bike and go there through sheer leg power. Riding your bike while you are living in Memphis will not only enable you to save money, but it will take years off your appearance through that relaxing and enjoyable form of exercise.
3.) Eat affordable yet nutritious meals. You don't have to be a King Midas when it comes to splurging on food; all you have to do is be sensible when it comes to those entrees and those ultra-rich salads and desserts. Choosing a well-planned diet and/or menu that is affordable or low-cost will help you to save money during your tenure or stay in Memphis.
4.) Make sure that those tours, hotels and attractions have group accommodation rates. It is a fact that you will save a lot more money if you are a part of a group who must stay in a city, not just in Memphis, for an indefinite period of time, then having group accommodation rates for your group is a must. You will see that traveling in groups and staying in American cities and/or exotic places of the world would afford you to save a great deal of money.
Finally, the aforementioned are ways you can save money not only living in Memphis (TN) but just about any American city you want to visit or live in.
