Managing change: A manager's responsibilities

Managing change is essential to succeed in today's working world, and a successful manager must be willing to take the responsibility to make the necessary changes which are needed to continue to make the organization profitable and successful, while making the company a good place to work. Too often top managers at even major companies try to delay needed changes, and by putting off the needed changes too long, can cause major business losses, and key employees may leave the company, and then important progress is delayed and disrupted.  Make the changes you need today tomorrow may be too late.

Change needs to be embrased, don't fear it.

Today's employees are facing many changes to their jobs and keep  them, now layoffs are becoming a regular process, companies are finding ways to rightside,  hiring contract workers, digitizing and downsizing whilemaking efforts to compete with China, India and Japan and using others methods to  succeed. The challenge to managers today-is to communicate to their workers: change is constant, 24/7, and this will mean you will be training and learning new ideas, technology and methods to succeed.  The workforce which succeeds is one which trains lifetime workers to continue to get better today and tomorrow.  Today's customers expect more than ever.

The customer is bright, demanding and right.

Essential change management is to meet the demanding and never ending requests of today's more difficult customers or potential customers. The customer wants your best price to buy from you, it must be on time, and arrive in the proper condition,  the product or service must be the best one to get the order, you must be willing to give quality service after the sale, the customer will not accept excuses, only performance and the best service possible is accepted. Every employee in you organization needs to know that he/she works for the customer, when the customer is happy, and continues to buy, the company will succeed. Using the power of communication in change management today.
