Into the kitchen, tip toed little Mary’s feet.
Her tummy was empty, she wanted to eat.
First to the pantry, full of boxes stacked tall.
She must be careful not to make them fall.
A cookie or popcorn, she couldn’t decide.
She left with some crackers, with cheese inside.
On to the fridge, she needed a drink,
but the milk jug was empty, now she must think.
Juice or water, what would it be?
She crept away with a small glass of tea.
Mary slipped out the door, to eat her treat on the slide.
To find her mother was waiting on the other side.
In her hands were milk and cake,
Mary realized she had made a mistake.
She set down her snack that now looked dull,
and feasted on cake until her little tummy was full.

Poetry: Empty and full
The King sat and pondered
And everybody wondered
What the King would say
About the problem before him that day
We need a decision,
While some exclaim their cup is full,
And others not proclaim,
The ways of life are never dull,
And no one is the same.
An empty belly that hurts,
Cloths are covered, full of dirt,
Smiles have fade, no laugh be heard,
Too tired and hungry,
"Equipoise"
Nothing
empty
vapid
hollow
zero
space
vacuum
black
closed
point
minuscule
Me
Everything
Dense
full
white
Feeling empty brings dismay
Despair and total loss
Don't fear adversities on your way
And heaviness of your cross
Do not
