Nice, nice, nice to be
Forty and fancy free.
Forty is a great age to attain.
It's kinda like being under an umbrella in the rain.
You can smell the cleansed air, and wade through the puddles.
That's because you've lived through amazing events and seen a few troubles.
Forty is wonderful because it offers challenges galore.
The things you haven't done are still out there to be conquered by you as never before.
The things you have accomplished stand like trophies on the shelf.
You can look back and be grateful to God that He has been your help.
At forty you're in the middle. You're good to go some more.
But ah, take it easy, watch your step- there are some unseen bananas on the floor.
And you are not the "spring chicken" you use to be anymore.

Turning 40?
What do you mean?
Been there done that.

Turning forty ain't nothing
You're hardly half

I'm twice that now and feel young and sporty.
I walk two miles most every day.
