“I don't want you,” he yelled.
The front door slammed as her world crumbled, shattered and fell
Tears filled her eyes and sobs clogged her throat.
She knew she'd still be alone when death came to gloat.
Her sobs became moans and her moans became wails.
Alone for years she felt desperate and scared.
Not getting him back was all that she feared.
Hope found its way back to her heart.
Love laughter and friendship promising never to part.
Out of the blue
“honey I'm back for you,
let me love you just for a while,
long enough to fill your soul with rage, fear and bile.”
She saw the truth
of his lies, betrayals and abuse.
using her was his plan
making himself feel more of a man.
There was nothing to gain
and this time it was his pain.
His backup plan had moved on with her life
and his miss on again off again was someone's new wife.
