I tried to walk into the light, but the darkness pulled me back
I called out for help from all that was pure,
I got the laughter of all that wasn't
I opened my heart to god. Silence answered.
I swore my faith, heaven laughed at me, shoved me back and told me to leave
I tried to help, You told me I made it worse
I tried to fix it, It fell apart
I tried to be honest. I got nothing but lies.
I tried to walk in the light, The darkness pulled me back, the darkness pulled me under
the darkness pulled me from the light.
I lived in the dark afraid of the light. to be burned by it again.
In my heart there was still good. Still begging to be let out. To make it right
Surround me was evil. Surrounding me was hate. I hid from a light until I felt it again.
Burning through my heart. Never having left it. The darkness tried to pull me back.
To that darkness. Now I only laugh.

Poetry: Good and evil
Good and evil have existed since the dawn of man.
From the time of Adam and of Eve, when it began.
Each side has
I hate me. The conflict within is so simple,
yet lasting in ideal this battle is eternal.
The sick joy I find in degrading
With a mind full of clutter between wrong and right,
I find the battle within going on day and night.
The me that wants
by Carol Gioia
Good and evil
struggle with the blind,
each fighting to the finish,
to overpower mankind.
Ignorance allows
evil to grow,
Deep within his evil lair
He ever plots our doom
Caring not what's right or fair
He schemes within his tomb
Upon his throne
