Cheater. That is the first thought that enters my mind when I hear the name Barry Bonds. Not the guy working at a desk somewhere in a cubicle in some big office building. The man who took America's Past Time and helped turn it into a three ring circus. Almost all these guys on the committee to vote players into Cooperstown have said that character is big factor in the way a man plays the game and gets in the Hall of Fame. I know I know Bond's has these outrageous numbers to put a case up for his entry, but it is the way he got those numbers that erks me. Look at Bonds back in the 80's when he was with the Pirates. A skinny guy with alot of heart has turned into a big fat cheater. You can put up an argument that alot of other players have gotten much bigger over the years they played the game of baseball but his size is just ridiculous. Let's take Griffey Jr. for instance. He was the cute little kid from Cincinnati, who was just born to play the game. Take a look at a picture of him lets' say in 1993, and look at one today. Yes I would agree he is bigger but not big in monstrous way. I think Deion put it best that Jr. is just a Fat Butt now. Good he is still but you could not put an argument up that would hold water if you accused him of something like that. I believe if Bonds wants to try to make up for some of his wrong he could have. He could be a fan friendly ballplayer. Look how he treats his fans and how stupid they are to still cheer for him. If you was to see him and ask for a autograph would he give it to you. No he would not. Because he is selfish, out for money and some records, and will do so,sparing no feeling or expense to get either. Who cares about his truck load of home runs, stolen bases,ect... A Giants fan? That's about it. We all know he is guilty of taking steroids. We know that, so why should he have of chance of even being on the ballot when comes his time? Has shoeless Joe been on one? What about Pete Rose? You all know why, because they say they tainted the game and do not deserve to be inducted with a class of such fine men that are in there right now. So I say put Bonds with Black Sox And Pete Rose. On the outside looking in when it comes his time.
