Poetry: Medicine man

by Crystal Patterson

Created on: July 01, 2010

In the power source does the medicine man stand.

Dancing to provoke some god or element of the earth.

Teasing a god to answer. The questions he may seek.

Fire, smoke, and paint stream in circles.

Tantalizing the senses of those whom on look.

This brave or foolish medicine man.

Does he know the power he messes with?

The sky does thunder and the ground does shake.

This little man is just a drop of water in the bucket.

Longing to reach beyond the world he stands.

Unknowing, it make take the very breath he summons with.
