Ensnare
The wind, an exhaust of a savage foray.
Endless fragments of molten steel, now
driven by harsh, darkened hearts, those
hearts swirl unbeating amidst the bitter,
chalk-gray world.
The blast, somehow guided
by its own thick, perverse energy.
Shock, unable to fairly describe the
breathing of one's own pained lungs, who
now unwantingly play host to so many
other's lives now only alive through your
own breath.
The horror of seeing shoes,
pieces of luggage, Important documents,
half burnt, now aimlessly driven around you.
Your world now changed, forever changed,
as changed as the lives you strive not
to inhale. Merely running for safety through
this gray, swirling world of death, feels like
sacrilege, as if each hurried step would
further insult.
The gray masticated residue
catches the tear of your survival.
We all still fight such hatred that would drive individuals to perform such acts. Our hearts need to always remember our sameness, even despite our divisions. Within this tragedy that struck on 9/11/2001, there was so much good that also took place. All the dear souls that gave their all to try to rescue the fallen. Never forget our oneness. 911 Wikipedia

Poetry: Good and evil
Good and evil have existed since the dawn of man.
From the time of Adam and of Eve, when it began.
Each side has
I hate me. The conflict within is so simple,
yet lasting in ideal this battle is eternal.
The sick joy I find in degrading
With a mind full of clutter between wrong and right,
I find the battle within going on day and night.
The me that wants
by Carol Gioia
Good and evil
struggle with the blind,
each fighting to the finish,
to overpower mankind.
Ignorance allows
evil to grow,
Deep within his evil lair
He ever plots our doom
Caring not what's right or fair
He schemes within his tomb
Upon his throne
