The problems left from yesterday
Will press upon our brains
The hopes we have for future days
Will tease us yet again
If somehow we could borrow
From past until tomorrow
Our memories and dreams would blend
To let our present never end
And all we’d need attend and say
Would be the peace we have today

A ring of smoke
Hazes over my head
The last remnants
Of a burning cigarette
My tears have dried
Sticky rivers of regret
Dry now,
Today Or So It Seems
As I sit here today I remember yesterday
How long ago it seems. It flew by so fast
As if it was a dream
Today is tomorrow seen from yesterday,
it is an illusion of the past yet happens every day.
Today is a time that things
Let me get caught up today
get what I haven't done complete
stay current with all I should do
instead of dragging my feet
