Poetry: Today

by Geoffrey Schmitt

Created on: June 30, 2010

The problems left from yesterday

Will press upon our brains

The hopes we have for future days

Will tease us yet again

If somehow we could borrow

From past until tomorrow

Our memories and dreams would blend

To let our present never end

And all we’d need attend and say

Would be the peace we have today
