Promoting your Zazzle gallery may seem time consuming but it is worth taking some time away from designing to get the word out about your artwork. The following are some suggestions that I use myself.
Blogging: Creating a blog to tell people about your designs is essential. It gives you a forum to post about your latest designs and tell people about Zazzle promotions. Content is important, so write as much as you can about your design, such as the technique you used to create it or what inspired your idea. You can also write about your interest and pursuits and relate it to your designs. For example, cooking tips or recipes could be linked to aprons. Your favourite tea and coffee products can be linked to mugs and so on. People may search for a specific occasion at appropriate times of the year, so always post suitable products you have created or link to other designs that you like. Remember to add your referral ID so that you can earn revenue from any links you create to zazzle.
Website: If you know some html and css create your own website and use Zazzle Store Builder to display your products. You will need a web host that allows PHP with cURL. The zazzle forums provide invaluable help in using this tool.
Twitter: Zazzle has a built in Twitter button on your product page so it's easy to tweet about each new product you create. Alternatively use Twitterfeed to automatically twitter your new products and other Zazzle shops that you like.
Facebook: If you already have a Facebook profile, create a page to promote your store. You can use Twitterfeed to automatically update your wall, or add you product directly in Facebook.
Zazzle Merch Booth Tool: Display some of your products on Facebook and My Space and add the “merchbooth” tag to the products you want to display.
Squidoo: You can create a lens about your store and display your products but don't stop there! Create lenses for each product type or occasion and promote others. The more lenses you can create on topics that interest you the more exposure you will receive.
Sharing: The Zazzle product page makes it easy to share your product on other social network sites you belong to using the Share This button.
Forums: Check the Zazzle forums for promotion ideas. Others are often looking for designs to feature on their blog sites and squidoo lenses. Participate in forums on other sites you belong to and leave a discreet link to your store in your signature or in your profile. Always check the websites guidelines before leaving links to outside URLs, as it may be considered spamming.
Using some or all of these suggestions will go a long way to promote your gallery and help you sell more of your products!
