Poetry: Renewal

by Janette Dengo

Created on: June 30, 2010   Last Updated: February 20, 2011

Awaken,

Soulful tone feeds my heart

Yearning for zest and desire

Miles has gone the lust apart

To spark again a burning fire

New and tangy like lemon pie

Is my tongue's recent flavour

Unbound wings stretch to fly

Awaken am I by new favour

Gracious glory shines above

These extremities do not exist

I fly again like newborn dove

Fulfilling chores on my list

Renewed essence anticipated

Day of brand new revelation

Revealed to me who awaited

The one celestial translation
