It is amazing that there is even a yes side to this debate. First of all, taxes collected by city, county and the state are what fund education in this country. It doesn't matter if you have children or not, you are still required to pay these taxes.
Illegal immigrants are here 'illegally', so therefore they are not paid by check where deductions would be taken out. Why is that you ask? Because they do not have social security numbers and the businesses that hire them don't want to fill out the proper paperwork to prove they are employees.
So the illegals don't pay 'any' taxes. Why should their children be allowed to attend school when their parents aren't paying into the tax base. How is it even possible that these children are even allowed in a classroom without proof of legal residency.
It is unfathomable that not only do these illegal immigrants go to our schools, but special programs provide English learning classes to the illegal Spanish speaking population. And even now that is changing because it is becoming mandatory for English speaking students to be forced to take Spanish classes; all for the comfort of the illegal Spanish-speaking community.
It is bad enough that the education level in this country is one of the worst in the world. The amount of money allocated to the schools is paltry, considering that teachers and parents have to come up with money for supplies for their children even after being taxed to death for our school systems.
Now we want to fund the illegal immigrant population, which will of course raise the taxes to fund the schools that the illegals do not pay one penny into.
Why? Has this country lost its collective mind? We cannot continue to pander to the illegal population. We as a collective are breaking the law and are no different than the illegals who are breaking the law by even being here.
The politicians in this country better get a grip on reality. So far they have allowed the illegal immigrants to tap into every assistance program in this country.
Funding for education to the illegal population is a slap in the face to the legal immigrants who have worked hard to not only integrate into our society but have paid their fair share of taxes.
We cannot continue to drain our resources for a law-breaking group who doesn't care one iota about this country except for what they can get for free.
