DayTipper.com is perhaps less well-known than some of the other players that will be mentioned below, but it is a bit different than most. DayTipper pays $3 for each "tip" a writer submits to the site that is accepted and published. The tips tend to be rather short on average so don't take long to write. The payment per word is relatively high on DayTipper and consistent effort on this site will yield good part-time pay.

Constant-Content.com is another writing site that is a little different from the typical article site. They are more choosey about who they allow to write for them. Webmasters needing content can submit requests to the site and registered writers can fill their needs for a fee. Rates vary from $10 to $100 and the quality of writing is expected to be rather good.

AssociatedContent.com is a very popular site for freelance writers and there is good reason. They have a solid readership, a wide array of topics on which to write and they pay from $3 to $50 per article. They also send out periodic requests for specific types of content for which they'll pay more (usually a minimum of $10).
