The rally cry against Arizona is performing a far more important task than isolating the evil Nazi racists in our state. It is finally drawing a distinct line between the people that are easily swept away by five second sound bites and those that take time to educate themselves about the world around them.

Illegal immigration in Arizona has been completely mishandled for over twenty years and five Presidents. Reagan made the first blunder by issuing amnesty to those who had already crossed the border and then failing to close the border. Then Bush Sr. and Clinton left the border open and made small gestures of a fence or two at a few border towns, but millions just went around them. Next during the national housing boom, Bush Jr. put out some National Guard Troops and some more miles of fence and digitalized the border, but with all the work construction companies had, with a wink and a nod we were still inviting Mexicans to cross the border to work, not pay income taxes, social security, or Medicare, except those that stole someone’s identity. None of these traits are limited to race, but dishonesty. If they were caught they would be deported, but just cross again.

Finally we Arizonans are tired of being victims of this “victimless crime.” We are tired of being hit by the uninsured illegal and watching them drive away, and officers being killed by a violent illegal and we are tired of paying for the Anchor Baby’s education. Meanwhile we have constantly appealed to the Federal Government for aid while those politicians sit in their offices and work and spend on their pet social projects. They only speak out when we try to take matters into our own hands.

Then the infernal fury breaks loose. The Feds threaten us with court action stating that immigration can only be their priority. Other states with similar laws, but no back bone to enforce their very own immigration policy (California Penal Code 834b) make the threat that their state will boycott everything from Arizona. Unions that have caused the destruction of America’s Production Empire organize Marches crying “Si Se Puede,” the communist cry in all of Latin America. Multiple second-rate “artists” have joined “Song Strike” and refuse to perform in Arizona. Even the President of Mexico has condemned Arizona, and admitted that his own immigration laws are similar. I have not personally asked any of these parties but I am willing to go out on the limb and say that they probably haven’t read the Arizona Law.

Arizona’s own Attorney General, Terry Goddard, was fiercely opposed to law. Finally someone asked if he had even read the law. He had admitted that he had only seen memos about the law. We are now seeing exactly who is swept away by Liberal Generalities. I have intentionally left out any references to my sources. If you want to have a conversation with us here at the adult table, please educate yourself on the border issue, then read the law, and you might as well read your own law too.
