Should you turn in a friend for drug use and child abuse?

Child abuse and drug use are the worst. When I was in foster care, most of my peers were in foster care because of neglect, and rarely actual abuse. The thing is when it comes to abuse in many cases the parent provides and cares for the child and the child loves it parent but there are times of abuse. I think what you should do if you can is if the child is school age, for you to incourage the child to tell someone they trust like an adult at school, this will teach the child its wrong to hit your kids and even as adults, people make mistake. Also my experience in foster care has taught me most parent abandon their kid once she/he has hit foster care, so when the friend finds out that the child told she'll hopefully realize the sistuation before anything that her own child did'ntwant to be with her, and i think thats every parents worst nightmare.. to have their kid not want them as a parent. Also this will motivte her to change since its coming from the kid, and sometimes if the mother completes the case plan.. the child can come home. But if this is'nt possible i think you can take it in your own hands and go head and turn your friend in. Just child abuse alone and not drug use i would turn the person in.. it scars the child emotionaly, and the pain will never be forgotten.
