Broken dreams
Achievements of lives dreamt, disappointment of broken dreams
Enter into this existence facing the wilderness of hope
Closed eyes images of want, reality of need, dreams spent
Somewhere in my sadness untold dreams I see
Dreams falling like leaves from a dying tree
Passing away on a spiraling thought, crushed beneath uncaring feet
Dreams broken like those in endless sleep, dark forever
Shutdown my mind to this world to create feelings in space
Nourish my dreams with raining sands from the hourglass of time
Yesterday a dream broken, tomorrow new dreams of happiness
The grandness of accomplishment, the feelings of time
Today broken dreams like crushed leaves beneath uncaring feet
What strength is it that brings promise
This day I am the tree full with leaves of dreams,
Some broken beneath uncaring feet, today
But tomorrow will come

Poetry: Broken dreams
Moving on should be so simple
But letting go is not as easy as it seems
It is harder than you would think
To say goodbye
I saw her falling
From such an unfathomable height
Gravity showed her no mercy
As her body plummeted to it's demise
Yet
When we met, I had so many dreams
If I printed them on paper, they would take up reams
But as you started to control me
Too Much
If someone has the answers?
I wish they would clue me in.
For life is a game,
I can’t seem to win.
Once I
broken dream
it was a dream
that seems
full of light
