New Day
I watch the leaves tumbling from the trees
Raindrops falling outside
Teardrops falling inside
The end of a day and our way
Sitting and thinking of past times
The infectious smile of my old friend
I hear whispers in my mind
Conversations I have no desire to share
I think of the laughs the cries entwined
My mind focuses on the chaos of this evening
Asking my questions of why knowing there will be no reply
Drifting in and out of slumber traveling the streams of time
Replaying events over and over in my mind
Brought back each time by the whispering
And the signs of life drifting away
Now time has no meaning it is forever
Only we are limited bright lights dimming to dark
Holding you here in my special place, there you will always be
I rise from my slumber only to feel you there beckoning
Walk with me one more time
The whispers grow louder as we began our walk
In silence, we walk no words as always we feel our thoughts
This day will be a beautiful day
Full of life sunrise bright, birds singing with new beginnings
After this night of falling rain and falling tears
All is fresh for a new start, one more day
I turn to see your smile as you begin to fade away
In my heart, I know this day will have new meaning
This time I know I was not dreaming
I hear no more whispers only the sound of your goodbye
As you tell me, do not cry
I turn to see you laying there only to feel the loss of something so rare
No more whispers no more sounds of time ticking away
Only the warmth of the sunlight beginning this new day
I leave the room and the deafening silence
Wanting the sunlight’s warmth to embrace, me console me
The sounds of the birds and the morning breeze
Freshness of the now clean air the beauty of a new day
In all of this, I still see you
In silence I walk with you in my thoughts
Only to be stopped by a voice softly calling my name
Saying no more tears, this is a new day
As I smile and continue to walk away

New Day

Teardrops falling inside
The end of a day
What a journey we have shared
The roughest one for any pair
Resenting you mom for over half my life
Blaming you for the
Dark Mirror
Your tongue, the dagger that cut out my heart.
So many lies; soon truth became fiction and made me the villain
Sad Goodbye
Its a sad goodbye that I never got to say
A sad goodbye I had to say after you went away
I knew you were still

You'll find her in the corner
With her head held in her hands
Her eyes are red and puffy
Body shaking;
