How to create a positive workplace environment

by Crystal Patterson

Created on: June 28, 2010

To create a positive work place environment begins with employers.  If management cares about their work place then it will show.  Starting from the hiring process is where alot of it begins.  Do they read through all the resumes?  Are they choosing qualified applicants with good job histories?  Have they checked references.  Where they really observant to the potential employees body language and image?  Did they take the proper time to consider the best person to hire?  Hiring the right positive minded employees goes a long ways.

Are rules followed or enforced by management staff?  Do employees know the rules of conduct and attire?  Did they recieve proper training?   Have they been encouraged to ask questions?  Does employees trust their management staff enough to come to with issues that may be effecting their work.  Do the employees know that management cares?  Are employees given praise to even out the demands and pressures of the job?

Work places need to show they care about themselves and employees as well as customers.  By providing a comfortable bright atmosphere that is sanitary.  Employers can brighten the moods of those around them.  They need to provide proper breaks by law and ensuring that breaks have well defined time limits.  Recognition of employees that give their all is important .  As well, as discussions and warning to those who lack ambition to give the effort the company deserves.

The idea stated that we hire the best and we are the best is a great slogan to keep every one upbeat.  Every one wants to have something to be proud of.  Make your company feel like a team unit.  Be open to each others ideas.  Give every one a voice in major decisions.  Just as customer appreciation is highly important.  Employee appreciation holds importance to.  To each should have their day of recognition.  Often times even the best employees may go through a slump.  These recognitions helps uplift them and get them back on track.  the customers benefit and therefore, the company benefits.  Benefits show themselves as profits. Profits is the first reason in running a company. Companies want to succeed and dollars are the defining moments of that success.  So, in order to lift profits in the long run.  We want to have happy customers and a positive atmosphere for employees to give the customers the care and attention they so deserve.
