The joy and beauty of life can only be found when one is in love with that special person who truly loves him/her. As often as not, a true love will just like you for who you are and not for material or any other such reasons, is always by your side in any situation of life and shares your pain and joy.
The first step in finding a true love is being yourself. A great thinker once said, “Define who you are and give your life a meaning”. Do not be who are not in order to sweep a man or lady off his or her feet. In this write-up, the pronouns he and his refer to both sexes. True love comes naturally, so be natural and not superficial, otherwise, you may end up being schizophrenic and frustrated when you do not get who admire to love you back. Romeos and Juliets still exist. There is someone somewhere who is ready to take you as you are and move heaven and earth for you. All you need to do is be ready, be original and do not let anybody who does not deserve you damage your self-esteem. Identify what things make you healthy like eating well, physical exercise, journaling, reading among other healthy practices.
Then make a list of what qualities and attributes you want in your lover. Everyone has fantasies about what he wants in his dream love that is the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with. For example, love, care, religiousness, warmth, responsibility to mention but a few attributes. You must consciously try to look out for good moral qualities in your significant other. Beauty is only skin deep. What a person is on the inside is what really matters than who they are on the outside. Try and see if your lover can adjust to your own standards so that he can best suit your own taste, probably in the process of courting. But if your date does not meet your own set standards, you do not need to keep wasting your precious time.
As earlier said, a true love must love you for who you really are. Starting a love relationship by flaunting your riches is a big no-no-no, if you must find who truly loves you for who you really are. But if your wealth is impossible to hide, then let the love undergo the test of time. There are thousands of cupboard-lovers out there who can never love you genuinely unless they see some advantages to gain from you. To draw the line between genuine and in-genuine love, the trial of love comes when your lover demands something from you and you cannot give it. For a genuine lover, understanding comes in probably because he or she knows that if you have you will give naturally. But a pretentious lover will either leave you or simply change and stop loving you as he used to do, behaving like a fair-weather friend.
The major emphasis should be on the fact that, to find true love, one has to make conscious efforts in looking for it. Also, it is essential to appreciate your true love after getting it because it is scarce. Just as a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, if you do not appreciate it well, you may loose it.
