Santa Claus, Christmas and religions

Isn't it all a question of faith? Are we stronger without faith? Can we evolve without faith? Faith can only be given or not to a child. Should we be spreading the humane word of religion giving hope and reason for us to join evolution instead of using the question of existence as an excuse for war? I'm sure whoever created us would like to see us blossom like a gardener who keeps a balance of space and colour by making sure that some of the greedy plants stay in place. All the flowers in the garden are beautiful but must have equality to continue. Faith in the spirit; does it make us stronger without questioning it? If you could go back in time, would you remove the idea of Santa and gods and the feeling of good will? Few things in life make us breathe deep with happiness. What would life be like without these feelings or would there be any life at all? Then the question of access to these feelings; for the poor these may be the only memories of happiness and hope available and affordable. The issue of religion is for the future. Who are we complaining to? The idea of faith and reason is welcome to the human mind and can never be totally rejected. The first six years of learning and experiencing cannot be reprogrammed; it's a permanent motherboard of all further thought processes. As a means of confidence building a concept is useful but confidence will always depend on that faith so it is better to build confidence with the word or feeling of good will rather than the origin of faith. Our basic human nature is pretty dark to use religion to kill; were did we get that idea from? Existence has always conflicted with intellect. I personally would not like to have my childhood memories of faith removed, not to say I was a charming example of good nature or docile, in fact loosing my first milk tooth led me to thinking about how long I had left to live, but at times it has given me strength to remember the idea of something more to eascape from a sick frightened world; change the channel, see what else is on.
